Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time

November 6, 2022

“May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through his grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word.”

We spend many hours and more dollars at the greeting card store to get the right card for whatever occasion. The design, the wording and the written expression try to match our feelings for the occasion.

Can you find anything which can match the words Paul wrote to his friends? Probably not. Two words which jump from the text are encouragement and hope. These are basic wishes for a get-well card, a sympathy note or simple best wishes.

God’s grace is amazing and is present when we ask, and is our gift to others when we pray. May his words be on our lips and in our hearts as we pray for others.
