December 18

"They shall name him Emmanuel, which means God is with us." --Matthew 1:23

Advent thought for today: God is indeed with us. This week, be joyful and prayerful, celebrating that his saving acts are for you.

December 19

"So has the Lord done for me at a time when he has seen fit to take away my disgrace before others." --Luke 1:25

Advent thought for today: We do our greatest work when we are most humble and trusting in God.

December 20

"You will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus." --Luke 1:31

Advent thought for today: Meditate on the words "birth of a savior" and focus on Jesus in your life today.

 December 21

"The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty savior. He will rejoice over you with gladness and renew you in his love." --Zephaniah 3:14,17

Advent thought for today: God has chosen you to share in his life! So close to Christmas, don’t get distracted from that fact.

December 22

"My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord… The Almighty has done great things for me and holy is his name." --Luke 1:46, 49

Advent thought for today: See the greatness of God, and give thanks for the blessings he’s placed in your life.

December 23

"Your ways, O Lord, make known to me…Guide me in your truth and teach me." --Psalm 25:4-5

Advent thought for today: Be intentional in learning Jesus’ ways, and faithfully follow as his disciple.

December 24

"Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has come to his people and set them free." --Luke 1:68

Advent thought for today: Rest and rejoice in the Peace of Christ.
