Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

September 18, 2022

“First of all, I ask that supplications, prayers, petitions and thanksgivings be offered for everyone, that we may lead a quiet and temperate life in all devotion and dignity... This is good and pleasing to God our Savior, who wills everyone to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth.”

As Paul wrote to Timothy, he also includes us as we read his words. He describes the many forms of prayer, teaching us to ask, seek and thank. Our prayer life can lead to a quiet presence with the Lord and moments of peace in our personal relationship with Him. We pause and pray, not just rattle and rush.

The Lord wishes the best for us, salvation and knowledge of the truth, His saving power and grace in our lives.
